Acupuncture
Acupuncture is the use of fine, sterile, one-time use only needles which are inserted at specific points along the body that have a specific function related to systems of the body. These points are chosen based on the individual’s needs and diagnosis to help restore balance of the targeted body systems.
Herbal formulas
Herbal formulas are chosen for the individual by the practitioner based on a comprehensive system of pharmacology that follows the diagnostic principals of TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine). Herbal medicine effectively treats many illnesses, both acute and chronic.
Cupping
Cupping is a therapy in which a jar is warmed and place on the body creating a gentle suction. It is often used as an adjunct therapy to acupuncture. This therapy helps to reduce local congestion and stagnation in the body, much like massage.
Gua Sha
Gua sha is a natural, alternative therapy that involves gentle scraping of the skin/muscle with a smooth edged tool to improve circulation to the area of concern. This technique helps to stimulate the healing process and can be used to break up scar tissue and reduce inflammation, stagnation and tension.
Electrical Stimulation (E-Stim)
Electrical stimulation is often used with acupuncture to stimulate specific areas being treated. A device is attached to the needles with small clips to deliver a specific therapeutic frequency or pulse.
BioMat
The Richway BioMat technology is a combination of far infrared rays, negative ion effects and conductive properties of amethyst channels. BioMat delivers soothing, deep penetrating heat while stimulating the regeneration of damaged cells in the body. BioMat helps to reduce stress and fatigue, promote relaxation, improve sleep, reduce inflammation, and much more.
